The National Association of Supervisors of Business Education (NASBE) awards a $1000 scholarship each year to a middle or high school business/marketing teacher to attend either the ACTE or NBEA conference.  The scholarship is intended to promote the growth of educational leaders in business and marketing education in career technical middle and high school programs.  The money is intended for travel to attend your choice of either the ACTE or the NBEA national conference this  year.  When you attend the conference, you will be asked to attend the NASBE meeting and/or social.

Eligibility for the NASBE scholarship is open to any middle or high school business or marketing teacher who:

  1. Has never attended an ACTE or NBEA national conference
  2. Is currently employed as a middle or high school career technical (PTE) business or marketing teacher
  3. Is an active member of ACTE or NBEA

This year the ACTE Vision conference is in November in New Orleans.  The NBEA national convention is in March in Las Vegas.  Links to these conferences can be found here on the IBEA website.

You do not need to be nominated—simply complete the application form and submit it online. The application deadline is Monday, September 28, 2015.  The selected candidate will be notified by Monday, October 5, 2015.

You will find the application form at http://goo.gl/forms/9xfC70QIlZ.

Idaho teachers–go for it!  Attending one of these national conferences is a great experience that I promise you will enjoy.
